Building Hope, One Bottle at a Time:

My Karma Yoga Journey to Guatemala

🌎 In Lieu of a Traditional Thanksgiving…

This November, I’ll be traveling to Guatemala with my dear friend and fellow yogi, Anna. We were on pilgrimage together in India earlier this year with our teacher, Hannah Muse, and now we’re reuniting — sisters in spirit — to serve once more.

✨ You can help support me on this mission — and the project itself — through a donation. Every offering, no matter the size, helps fund materials, community resources, and the travel that makes this work possible. Your generosity directly supports children, families, and the sustainable building of a Bottle School made from recycled plastic bottles — transforming waste into walls, and walls into hope.

This journey is my Karma Yoga practice — yoga as selfless service, something my teacher Hari-kirtana Dās often reminds me is love in action. Anna and I will be working alongside local families, learning from their wisdom, and offering our time, energy, and hearts in service to something lasting and beautiful.

And yes, after days of fulfilling work, we’ll rest — because resting is also work. Yoga reminds us that integration is as sacred as action; it’s why every practice ends with Śavāsana, often called “the most important pose.”
