No “getting your body back.” Instead, we focus on reconnecting. With your body. With your breath. With yourself — in this new version of you. Maternal mental health matters 💛 Not just in moments of crisis. Not only after birth. And not only when someone is diagnosed with postpartum depression. Mental health is deeply influenced by how supported a mother feels throughout pregnancy and postpartum. This is one reason I approach prenatal and postpartum yoga differently. My classes are not designed around performance, aesthetics, or “bouncing back.” They are intentionally created to support nervous system regulation, education, functional movement, community connection, and emotional wellbeing during one of the biggest transitions a person can experience. It’s also why I intentionally teach in community-centered spaces rather than traditional yoga studios. Perinatal people deserve spaces where: 🤍 babies are welcomed 🤍 rest is respected 🤍 modifications are expected 🤍 healing matters more than performance 🤍 they do not feel alone And this is also why postpartum doula care matters so deeply.
