Much as Cher famously explained. “Imagine carrying cells from another person inside your body”? For anyone who has actually been pregnant, this isn’t shocking — it’s obvious. You create a whole human being from your own body. Their cells were grown from within you. Of course some cells linger. That’s not mysterious or unsettling — it’s simply part of the creativity and intelligence of pregnancy. What bothers me is how these posts often frame pregnancy and postpartum as something strange happening to women, rather than something profound created by women. The language reflects a wider pattern: women’s bodies described as vessels, curiosities, or passive environments instead of powerful, active participants in human creation. We don’t need sensationalism to explain microchimerism. And we definitely don’t need narratives shaped by the male gaze to validate it. The real story is this: Women have always known their bodies hold deep wisdom. Pregnancy and birth are expressions of profound creative power — not anomalies needing dramatic commentary. Let’s tell that story instead

I had a frustrating experience yesterday with my Ex-husband regarding my kid. Child is fine, but it was scary for a bit. Plus, he missed Trick-or-Treating! Which made me sad for him. 
Anyways- this morning I felt motivated to work out my emotions on
I had a frustrating experience yesterday with my Ex-husband regarding my kid. Child is fine, but it was scary for a bit. Plus, he missed Trick-or-Treating! Which made me sad for him. Anyways- this morning I felt motivated to work out my emotions on my Peloton. First ride since January 2024. Not by choice. I lived temporarily in a home that had one, fell in love. Finally invested in my own as my SAD prevention for the winter. Rode 5 miles! Now I just need to keep it up every days for a bit and it will be routine once more 💜 #peloton #motivation #seasonalaffectivedisorder #emotionalhealthmatters
